Step 1: Log in to Your Wise Account
- Go to the Wise website or open the Wise app.
- Log in using your credentials.
Step 2: Start a New Transfer
- Click on Send Money or New Transfer to start the process.
- Enter the amount you wish to send and select the currency you want to send from and to (e.g., BDT to USD).
Step 3: Select the Recipient Type
- Choose the recipient type as Someone else if you’re sending to another person’s bank account.
Step 4: Enter Recipient’s Bank Details
- Transfer Method: Choose ACH as the transfer method if available.
- Full Name of the Account Holder: Enter the recipient’s full name (as shown on their bank account).
- ACH Routing Number: Enter the routing number for the U.S. bank (e.g., 061120084 for First Century Bank, N.A.).
- Account Number: Enter the U.S. bank account number (e.g., 4024231571293).
- Account Type: Select Checking if it’s a checking account or Savings if applicable.
Step 5: Optional – Add Recipient’s Email
- If you have the recipient’s email, you can add it for notification purposes, but it’s optional.
Step 6: Confirm Details and Proceed
- Double-check all details to ensure accuracy.
- Click on Continue or Proceed to review the transfer summary, including the fees and estimated delivery time.
Step 7: Complete the Transfer
- Follow the prompts to fund the transfer using your selected payment method.
- Confirm and submit the transfer. You’ll receive a confirmation, and the recipient will receive the funds as per the estimated delivery time.
Adding a U.S. Bank Account as a Recipient on Wise
- Go to the Recipients Section:
- In your Wise account, find the Recipients or Contacts section to manage saved recipient details.
- Add New Recipient:
- Select Add a New Recipient and enter the recipient’s bank details (name, ACH routing number, account number, account type).
- Save Recipient:
- Once you’ve entered all the information, save the recipient for future transactions. This makes sending money faster and easier.
